Russia Moves To Stop Same-Sex Spouses Receiving UN Staff Benefits Russia asks UN to put recognition of same-sex marriage for 43,000 staff worldwide to a vote, in attempt to thwart policy change Prior to the UN's recognition of same-sex marriages among its staff, workers personal status was determined by the laws of their country of nationality.
Chris Johnston 21 March 2015 Russia is attempting to stop the United Nations extending staff benefits to same-sex spouses.
The UN secretary general, Ban Ki-moon, announced in July 2014 it would recognise same-sex marriages among its 43,000 staff worldwide, allowing them to receive the same benefits as their heterosexual counterparts. Before the change of policy, UN workers personal status was determined by the laws of their country of nationality.

How homophobic Russia is. I believe that this is the only thing I agree with him on.
The very root of the reason Obama hates the Russians. His man country background.
Has the U.S. fallen this far into the toilet?
Good!
The real problem for the Obamunists is that when the “World” votes on this, it will probably pass.
This is the real reason for Obama’s black war with Russia and destroying over a decade of cooperation.
The US gets ONE VOTE in the UN, so does each European country. Then the Third World countries vote, and get 5 times as many. Many, quite possibly most, Third World countries have higher moral standards than the West, at least on this issue. I doubt Russia would be pressing for a vote if they didn’t already canvas those countries.
So, bottom line: Checkmate, yet again.
I was being funny...sorry...didn’t have a cup of coffee when I was posting a humorous reply.
Russia is a communist shithole. Making a big deal about a legislature that probably affects 19 people does not change it. They still remain a communist shithole.
