Republican 2016 hopeful Gov. Scott Walker (WI) is headlining a Leadership Series event for the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry on March 25 at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown.
The event will be hosted by radio talk show host Hugh Hewitt and will feature welcoming remarks by Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R).
According to the Chambers press release, the event is the first of the Leadership Series luncheons that feature prominent political leaders from around the country who are considering a run for the White House.
Regarding Walker, the Chamber says, Job growth has marked Walkers tenure, with Wisconsin adding hundreds of thousands of new jobs during his administration. Chief Executive Magazine in 2010 ranked Wisconsin as the 41st Best State for Business. By 2014, Wisconsin had climbed to 14th in the magazines rankings.
We are thrilled that Gov. Walker will be our first Leadership Series speaker, Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry president and CEO Glenn Hamer said in a statement. Gov. Walker brings a positive, pro-growth perspective to governing that will make him a formidable challenger should he pursue the Republican nomination for the presidency in 2016. We cant wait to hear from him on March 25.
Hamer was recently a vocal critic of Arizonas newly elected superintendent of schools, Diane Douglas, who won the race for her position with a primarily anti-Common Core campaign. During a controversy that erupted last month between Douglas and Ducey, the superintendent fired two state Board of Education administrators who were proponents of Common Core, while Ducey charged that she acted illegally.
The Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which lobbies in support of the Common Core standards, condemned Douglass actions.

whee. What is his position on illegal aliens?
That’s what I wanna know
Is he going to stand up to the podium and in plain talk list all the fed gov agencies he wants to dramatically reduce in size and scope and or completely eliminate?
If he does this ping me. But I bet that ping never comes.
Waiting for Breitfart to look into Cruz support for unlimited H1-B visas and wife trolling for Goldman Sachs
Scott, YOU HAD THE BASE but now you’re going for the money AND NOW YOU’RE LOSING THE BASE.
Not a smart move-—as Mama always said, “you’re known by the company you keep”. Lose the Amnesty promoters!
State Chamber of Commerce is Independent from the National chapter.
“State Chamber of Commerce is Independent from the National chapter.”

Yes, as are state ‘RAT parties “independent” from the national ‘RAT party.
Where does the “national” C of C get its funding. Who puts the “national” C of C staff in their positions and pays their salaries and expenses?
What is his position on illegal aliens?

Hard to tell. He was for comprehensive immigration but has backed off from that as did Marco Rubio. I do like the guy, but, I would have to go with Cruz or Rubio first. Walker has made a few missteps in his campaigning here lately.
They get their funding from K Street
Scott,YOU HAD THE BASE but now youre going for the money AND NOW YOURE LOSING THE BASE.

He never “had” the Base. He was doing well in the Polls, but the Base in the GOP is always split. Walker is splitting the Base vote with Cruz, Rubio and, believe it or not, Paul. Now, I’m a Cruz guy, but, I bet if the C of C ask him to speak at one of their State Meetings, he would go. If you are running for POTUS, you have to speak to more than just your supporters or you will never win them over. Some Republicans have been known to accept the invitation to, and even speak at, NAACP Conventions.
George Scott Walker Bush.
You don’t rob a bank and bring the money back and beg for forgiveness.
He opposes it.
His previous position was the same as all the potential and current GOP presidential candidates.
Give me a break. Walker has nothing in common with the Bush clan.
I don’t agree. Beyond some new masking rhetoric now that he’s running for president, I find them to be indistinguishable on life, on marriage, on immigration, on unconstitutional spending.
Whee, what's your position on seating an Obama clone to keep the good times rolling?
You’re comparing apples and oranges. My mama used to say: “A wise man will sometimes change his mind, but, a fool never will.”
