He never “had” the Base. He was doing well in the Polls, but the Base in the GOP is always split. Walker is splitting the Base vote with Cruz, Rubio and, believe it or not, Paul. Now, I’m a Cruz guy, but, I bet if the C of C ask him to speak at one of their State Meetings, he would go. If you are running for POTUS, you have to speak to more than just your supporters or you will never win them over. Some Republicans have been known to accept the invitation to, and even speak at, NAACP Conventions.
