The Obama administration is set to unveil the first major nationwide safety restrictions on fracking, touching off a fresh political confrontation between the president and his critics in Congress and the energy industry. The Interior Department’s rules — expected to be released Friday morning — are the federal government’s most comprehensive foray to date toward regulating the technology at the heart of the U.S. oil and gas boom, addressing worries such as potential dangers to drinking water. They will also offer oil and gas supporters new room to accuse President Barack Obama of seeking to throttle fossil-fuel production, despite his repeated boasts about the nation’s booming energy supplies.

The Petroleum industry is the largest single contributor of taxes so of course it must be destroyed.

He’s determined to escalate gas prices again and to end America’s quest for energy independence.

He’s a political arsonist, completely off the rails. Screwing up every aspect of life as fast as he can. He needs to be stopped.

Story says this will apply only to federal lands, tribal lands and so on.

In the Bakken that would hit the oil-rich Three Affiliated Tribes, who had been bringing in as much as $20 million a month-—and who vote about 95% Democrat.

There isn’t much at all going on anywhere on federal lands, and who cares about their regulations anyway.

I would think it would make private holdings all the more valuable.

I wonder if there’s a muslim angle to this as well as the obvious environazi angle.

The Saudis, Iranians and ISIS would greatly benefit from this.

We need a fracking tax because Obama’s Saudi masters want to totally destroy this source of energy. An how can Iran destroy Israel if sanctions are lifted and oil is cheap. Obama’s plan has always been to increase the price of energy. He told us so in 2008. The free market can’t be allowed to dictate the price of oil.

The next President’s hand is going to be one, big cramp for weeks as he signs documents removing all of Obama’s 8 years of stupidity and damage.

We will look back on this period of time in wonder and your grandchildren will ask how anyone could have let it happen at all.

“A de facto tax increase in the hundreds of billions of dollars. Obama trying the one good thing that has happened during his administration.”

A tax increase would at least ensure the wealth goes SOMEWHERE. Even people sucking at the taxpayer teet (both corporate fatcats and welfare rats) would spend the money at legitimate businesses. The wealth may be hoarded but never destroyed.

But arbitrary regulations are pure waste and destroy wealth. It’s the equivalent of dumping goods in the ocean.

That’s why traitors love obscene regulations even more than taxes.

Too many ways of throwing sand in the gears without there being a chance of being caught.

Unless they stand over us with whips, they will not get any work beyond the minimum out of anyone.

If it weren’t for fracking, we would still be in a deep recession. To a tyrant, that means it must be attacked!
