The government can’t even get everyone to answer all the questions on a census form much less force them to vote.
In the case of Oregon (?) where they just made voter registration automatic, I think we’ll see that its just a means of flooding the system with registrations to hide fraud.

The Dems have figured out that their main problem is that their Gimmedat base has become too fat and lazy to drag themselves to the polls in off-year elections. So they are planning to “nudge” them.
Perhaps voting won’t be mandatory, but I could definitely see them requiring you to produce proof that you voted in order to qualify for any type of government benefit.
Of course it would boost turnout.
If, of course, by “turnout” you mean number of votes recorded rather than number of people voting.
Fraud will go through the roof, which is exactly why King Obongobongo wants it.

newsflash: a legitimate act of voting is the non-vote.
not voting is a sign of discontent with the choices or the system overall.

Currently, in some precincts, they ask for extra ballots, then an extension of time.
They “vote” all the ballots for the folks who did not show up, the registered voters, vote for the (D).
The result is a 99% turnout, most votes going for (D).
Now imagine of the list of people eligible to vote was the census list for that precinct, everyone over 18. The number of votes for D goes way up, and the folks that did not vote won’t care because they don’t get a fine notice in the mail.
Communists have always demanded mandatory voting. No surprise here.

I think that is one of several very plausible reasons. The other is obvious; he figures he has the country largely Democrat with the flooding of illegal aliens that has gone on in recent years. My sources tell me that the illegals are being paid to come to the U.S. and that the government is paying for their transportation and handing out cash. They also say G4S isn’t being used as much and that they are being brought in on tour buses and being shipped north to change many of the red states to blue. They are seeding our states with illegals and I hope everyone of them give the party of hope and change a big fat middle finger when they vote against them in future elections. The illegals aren’t liberal by nature but I keep hearing that they’re being told they have to vote Democrat...

As for bammy's notion... Of course it makes sense for him and his fellow 'rat fascists. Think about it.
First off, this wouldn't be constitutional unless there were a constitutional amendment to make it legal. That ain't gonna happen.
Two, if this was ever made legal, how would the government ever enforce it? With Voter IDs? How ironic....
And who will count those votes, barry?
