It's really steamy outside today, and my chainsaw is calling at the brush pile.
I hate to let all those oak tree tops go to waste.
I'll just have to go slow and not get too dehydrated.

Happy first day of spring. Yes, pace yourself. It’s actually snowing lightly here.

I did Plattsburgh NY for 2 years and the first summer I was there, there were only 3 days that got above 70 degrees F. Lake Champlain is one mean body of water.

I actually prefer that kind of weather! We used to go to Lake Michigan often, but not so much anymore.

I was at Alpena, Michigan many years ago, and it was the first time I was up north.
It was summertime and hot, and we were swimming in a creek on base.
Someone mentioned we should go to Lake Huron to swim, so away we went.
They told us not to worry about it being cold, and like the unfamiliar people we were, we touched the top of the water at the lake and it was warm.
So we backed up, and took a running start and jumped into the lake.
MISTAKE !
We could barely breathe.
Yes, the top 3 inches of water were okay, but then it rapidly went to ICE WATER.
Of course the locals who talked up into going to Lake Huron to swim, were laughing their guts out.
