Scott Walker to address NRA in 2nd day of South Carolina push
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel ^ | March 20, 2015 | Patrick Marley

Greenville,S.C.—Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker will spend a second day Friday campaigning in this crucial southern state as he looks to connect with a full spectrum of voters....

After hosting events Thursday for the South Carolina Republican Party in Columbia and Greenville, the Republican governor will attend two more Friday in Rock Hill and Charleston. He'll also speak to the National Rifle Association in Charleston.

The two-day blitz...is important because the state holds the third presidential nominating contest in the country. It follows recent trips to the states that hold the first two, Iowa and New Hampshire.

In his Thursday speeches, Walker spoke of his efforts to curtail collective bargaining for public workers in Wisconsin and the unsuccessful attempt to recall him because of it. He also highlighted his tax cuts and said he saw a need for an aggressive response to terrorism and a reinvigoration of America.

In his Greenville stop, he also addressed—obliquely—for the first time the abrupt departure of social media adviser Liz Mair soon after she was hired. Mair, who had worked for Walker during his recall campaign, came under fire this week because she had recently posted disparaging tweets about Iowa.

"One of my clear rules is, if you're going to be on our team, whether on the paid staff or a volunteer, what I always say is you need to respect the voters," Walker said. "Because really if you think about campaigns, it's not about the candidate or the staff. It's about the voter. It's about how to help people's lives be better.

....Voters in South Carolina will like that Walker is pragmatic, has executive experience and is a "proven election winner," said Matt Moore, chairman of the state's Republican party. They're mostly interested in finding jobs for the middle class, national security and stopping federal overreach, he said...

None of his other positions matter if he provides illegal aliens a “pathway to citizenship.” They will vote Democrat no matter what he does because they will always break the bank to cut loose with the goodies and stay in power. Any “Republican” who doesn’t understand that is not worth electing to national office. Walker makes a fine governor of a swing state, but I do not trust him with the Presidency.

Wifey,

Thanx for the postings and even though my first candidate of choice is Cruz Control, Gov Walker is OK with me.

My funds are limited so I'm only sending money to Ted, but if he gets derailed, I'll not pull up my tent stakes and pout, and threaten "to sit this one out" but I'll move to Scott Walker. Can't go as low as jeb, I'd have to join the FReepers that gave us obama in the last election, and give up on politics. PERIOD.

My period has more meaning than obama's did when promising, "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor."

hahahahahahahahahahaha you dummies.

Sounds like a plan.

Not much of one but it's all I have.

I have always depended on Prayer, but the past six years have driven me into a constant "Novena" and I think I recite "Hail Mary"s in my sleep.

I guess obama was good for something, he has moved me closer to God, but I really fear for the USA.

We always say, "this is the MOST important election in ..." BUT, this one maybe our last chance to save the Nation without bloodshed.

I relate with your feelings and concerns - and know well, “this is the most important...” It can’t slide more, or we’re off the cliff.

How many times is this crap going to get posted?

Walker DOES NOT support amnesty. I don't care what he said in the past - ALL of the Republican candidates are on RECORD stating that they supported "pathway to citizenship" - but few like Walker has clearly renounced that position and is in favor of border security.

Sheesh

Nor do you apparently apparently care about his support from Grover Norquist, who unambiguously DOES support amnesty.
