Fox's Bolling and Kilmeade Think Starbucks' Race Campaign a Good Idea
Mediaite ^ | March 18, 2015 | Evan McMurry

Starbucks’ #racetogether campaign, in which baristas are instructed to begin conversations on race with customers, drew bipartisan mockery yesterday, to the point that a Starbucks executive had to shut down his Twitter account.

But the Seattle coffee chain has two defenders, at least: Fox News hosts Brian Kilmeade and Eric Bolling.

“I like this idea,” Bolling said on The Five last night, getting a double-take from Juan Williams. “I think it’s a great way to start the conversation. …Fantastic that they are going to take the discussion from behind the counter to the people.”

I can't believe anyone would think any of this 'lets have a conversation about race' crap is being done good faith.

Watch the race card fly as soon as the people promoting the idea hear as opinion they don't like.

'Let me browbeat you, white person, about racial inequity' is closer to the truth.

I’m not going to have a race discussion with anyone who is handling my food.

LOL! If Kilmeade had to wait two more minutes for his Latte while the barista delivered a lecture on race, he’d turn purple and punch him in the face.

When I go to a quick service, the last thing I want to do is discuss politics with the (probably liberal) server at the counter. Seeing supposed conservatives support this is puzzling.

If the average American had a race conversation, it would end up being a conversation about sports or the weather. 99% of Americans are good, honest people who see race, but don’t think about it very much.

lets see FNC execs quashed any immigration stories.

the routinely quash other pro-America stories.

The “curvy couch” must be a stupidity inducer.

After imus is off the air, FBC is pretty decent since it does not have the propaganda officers of the administration.

For Asian Americans, a changing landscape on college admissions

EXCERPT

“Let’s talk about Asians,” she says.

Lee’s next slide shows three columns of numbers from a Princeton University study that tried to measure how race and ethnicity affect admissions by using SAT scores as a benchmark. It uses the term “bonus” to describe how many extra SAT points an applicant’s race is worth. She points to the first column.

African Americans received a “bonus” of 230 points, Lee says.

She points to the second column.

“Hispanics received a bonus of 185 points.”

The last column draws gasps.

Asian Americans, Lee says, are penalized by 50 points — in other words, they had to do that much better to win admission.

“Do Asians need higher test scores? Is it harder for Asians to get into college? The answer is yes,” Lee says.

Starbucks employees are on an order timer per customer. They have to seriously book it to get the product across the counter. Now they want them to slow down and discuss collectivist topics. Riiiight.

Any discussion that veers from the realm of canned political correctness will be quickly addressed by cadres of barristas holding up a #race matters sign and issuing a public shaming like Mao’s Red Guard youth.

When I think about race it’s typically along the lines of “gee, isn’t it tragic that all of our young, black men won’t quit doing stuff to get themselves killed?”

If the barista doesn’t find your attitude sufficiently contrite, your latte could wind up with additional ingredients a la Jesse Jackson.

I will use this Race Together opportunity to verbalize my support for the Honorable Allen B. West, an all-American war hero.

I would first lead off with this quote by the Lt. Colonel, "The little platoon of the black community is the church. Our Christian faith is based on individual freedom from sin and the personal decision to find spiritual liberty that leads to a better life here on earth and for eternity. On Sundays in America, the most conservative people can be found in black churches."

And then I would finish with another quote of his, "When I revisit my neighborhood in Atlanta, I see the blight facing most urban neighborhoods: Section 8 housing, food stamps, EBT card signs, and the breakdown of the family. Of all the consequences of the Great Society programs and the War on Poverty, intended or otherwise, the destruction of the black family has been the most disastrous. More than 70 percent of black children are born outside of marriage. That is an epidemic. And if you take into account the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s statistics that close to three hundred thousand black babies are aborted annually, are we looking at racial genocide?

The brilliant idea for this tragedy came from the progressive socialists of the Johnson administration who thought government should provide welfare payments to women who purposely had children out of wedlock and did not seek to get married or have a male living in the same home.

In other words, the Johnson administration was promoting the disintegration of the moral fiber of the black community. Furthermore, the government would send our social workers to inspect the households and ensure there were no males residing in the home, because if there were, the benefits would be cut off. As long as women remained single, they could stay on these programs and receive free health care, housing, and babysitting services for life.

The most dangerous consequence of President Johnson’s misguided policy is the abdication of individual responsibility in the black community."

So...use Star Buck's race relations moment to educate the captive audience of the barista and those waiting in line behind you. And if they resist your conservative messaging, smile and tell them to have a "Blessed Day". Just a thought.
