Exactly. Neither we nor the poor boys will probably ever know who their generic mothers are nor who their gestational mothers are (could be two different women for each boy, one for the egg and one for the womb.)

This splits a personal relationship (mother and child) into a set a separate "roles." What used to be sacred interpersonal bond is now just a matter of a monetized female function for sale or rent.

Elton John was quoted in an article awhile back saying that he regrets that his child (he had just the one at the time, I guess) would never have a mother. It’s more important than he realized.

Of course, he went and did this to another kid after he said it. And now he is knocking D&G when he knows they are right.

I guess his pangs of conscience were short-lived, or weak.
