Donald Trump is set to launch a presidential exploratory committee Wednesday, a day before he returns to the early voting state of New Hampshire, according to a pair of reports.
Trump will not renew his NBC contract for the "Apprentice" reality TV series, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported late Tuesday, citing an unidentified senior adviser. WMUR confirmed the news Tuesday.
In a statement obtained by the Union Leader announcing the committee, Trump mentions politicians who are "all talk and no action," points to his own business record and casts himself as "the only one who can make America truly great again!"

Trump to launch an Ego-enhancing committee. There is no way Trump would put his assets in a blind trust. The lack of control would make his head explode and there would be nothing left but a hair helmet.
Then his ego trumps his money sense.
A waste of his time and money and just muddying the field. I wonder what his true motive is? To divide the field further and help Jeb? Although I am not certain he was a fan of GWB’s Presidency.

With Trump, it’s likely just ego. Just another tv reality show.
To be fair, it’s a time-honored tradition to make a no-chance run for office to popularize a particular idea or theme, such as Trump’s economic nationalism.

Trump, like Carson, needs to run for a local or state office to determine whether he is even electable.

IIRC, Trump was the one who said several years ago that he would run for the presidency if he didn’t have to go through the primaries mess.
