Though voting has ended, the true political game begins now, as Herzog and Netanyahu vie for the support of smaller parties to back them for the position of prime minister while sources close to Rivlin say he will vie for unity government.
Sources close to President Reuven Rivlin said Tuesday that "the right choice in his eyes is a unity government that will be a strong government; however, if the sides are not interested in this he will not force it."
Head of the Kulanu party, Moshe Kahlon received phone calls from both Netanyahu and Herzog who attempted to secure his endorsement for the post of prime minister. Kahlon, who exit polls gave around 10 seats and is poised to be kingmaker, said he would not commit to either side - waiting for the final results to come in.
Kahlon said he would recommend to President Rivlin whichever candidate chooses a social agenda. I said this throughout the campaign. Netanyahu and Herzog asked to speak to me. I did not initiate the talks – I am waiting for the final tallies. We will wait, and then speak."
He added: "I will sit in a social government that will provide an answer for the crises facing the public. It is unfortunate that the small factions almost collapsed. As has been said before – there is no middle class."

The way things go in Israeli politics, I’m going to believe what I see of the “end result” ... LOL ... namely when there is ACTUALLY a government formed, and not just the “talk about it” or even an “announcement” ... :-) ...
They always talk about unity governments but very rarely achieve them for long

Actually, you don’t know the way things go in Israeli politics if you think a Unity government is even possible. Netanyahu WILL be PM, and the government will be much more Right than it currently is. That isn’t a “announcement” it is just the way it will be.
Go tell your U.S. State Department buddies that they lost. Big time. Period.

Yeah, I think it stated they weren’t interested, but in politics you just can’t tell ahead of time. Both of the big parties have switched positions on some things running right up to the election, so they may do it again, after the election. BUT REALLY ... I don’t make predictions, but just sit back and observe. These are simply things that are reported, so people should be aware of them. Otherwise just sit back and enjoy your popcorn ... :-) ...

And you’ve been told that I’m a Dispensationalist (listed on my Freeper page for years) and that this is the group in the USA which provides some of the strongest support for Israel.
And you’ve been told that I have supported Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu 100% in his policies and his actions, that that support going back to the Clinton days.
And all that is on all my previous posts for years, going back 15 years to the beginning when I started at Free Republic (especially with support for Israel).
SO the conclusion for you REPEATEDLY doing this is simply that you are BALD-FACED LIAR. And everyone else is now warned that you are one.
