They always talk about unity governments but very rarely achieve them for long
the key, i think, is the statement here that he won’t attempt to force a unity govt on the parties if they don’t want one

Sources close to President Reuven Rivlin said Tuesday that "the right choice in his eyes is a unity government that will be a strong government; however, if the sides are not interested in this he will not force it." Oh I think the fact that the sides are not interested in it is pretty much a given.
