A U.S. postal employee thought it would be easier to throw away mail that included Republican Party campaign flyers to soothe his sore shoulder than to actually deliver them.
Rickey Krueger, a mail carrier for the Neenah, Wisconsin post office, was convicted last week in U.S. District Court of mishandling the mail.

That should come with some prison time.
No matter.
I will be throwing them away when I get them.
The GOP is now dead to me.
He got fired? I’m surprised he wasn’t promoted.
Silly foo. That’s only if he tossed Dem flyers.
yeah...
Newman?
It took years, but I finally stopped getting mailings from the RNC and similar Republican organizations. I returned their mailings in the free postal return envelopes explaining that I could no longer support them.
when i was a paper boy we sometimes tossed the supplements.
“He could have faced six months in prison and $5,000 in fines.”
NO, you forget that the laws don’t apply to liberals. Just like free speech does not apply to us. In fact this case puts both of these concepts together. As someone else stated he really should have been promoted.
In fact I've made the connection that any money I send the Republicans seems to come back in the way of campaign propaganda and letters asking for even more money.
Geez, if I give them money, they think I'm going to vote for a Democrat?
to be fair, if you donate to say, Salvation Army, they’ll send you a quick thankyou and also a plea “can you send more”....
Neenah is the home to a huge foundry. They make a lot of manholes there..or they did..
I doubt that politics had much to do with this. Prosecution is a function of its cost and what the employee was caught doing. Forcing a resignation is pretty standard.
Alcohol and other substance abuse is usually involved when a postal carrier is caught ditching mail. This is probably not the first time for him, it’s just how he got caught. Political mail is more closely tracked both within the postal service and by outside observers. One article says he’s 51 years old so he is likely a veteran employee and he just threw away his retirement when he was forced to resign. Tough for his family if he has one.
too bad that Wisconsin doesn’t have capital punishment :0)
Taxpayer subsidized junk mail, the USPS primary function. If you can’t even depend on them for this....what the hell good are they?
Neenah postal worker caught trowing away GOP mail.
FRee[ Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.

Has Obama invited the fired postman to the White House?
