My gut's been telling me that about Walker since before he embarked on his current aspirational campaign. I've just seen too many red flags with him -- 'evolving' on illegal immigration, waffling on Common Core, buddying up to Team Romney.
He did successfully fight the unions in his state, but he hasn't been a loud and outspoken voice for conservative causes over the last several years.
Matter of fact, up until he considered running for president, he was nowhere to be found. He's been so quiet, I don't even know the sound of his voice. I just find it odd that such a well regarded Republican Governor would be so quiet during such a time as the age of Obama.
That's a red flag in my book.
I should be well acquainted with Scott Walker by now, if he's really a champion of core conservative causes, and is one who merits our deepest support in his run for higher office. Aside from his battles with the left in Wisconsin, the guy seems like a Johnny-come-lately who's just showed up in time for the big election.
I'm sorry, but something about him just doesn't feel right. Too many little things that add up to someone who's possibly a glad-handing politician. Someone who's making all the right connections and allies -- most of whom are antithetical to the needs, desires, and goals of most conservatives.
All I can say at this point is, I'm uncomfortable with the guy. He simply hasn't given me any reason to believe that his heart is in this for the right reasons.
