I know these numbers are very tenuous. Support for Sharia is not solid until they see “their team” making big gains in winning territory, etc. Then, the support gets stronger.
What is crucial to remember here is that these muslims do not know this about themselves. They are very divided geographically and by religious sect (Sunni, Shia, etc).
The key, which Bush realized, was that you do not want to unify them. You want to keep them divided.
If you unify them, then you will fight a billion and you will lose.
If you keep them divided, paying off some leaders to look the other way while fighting the ones that get strong (like ISIS), you can prevent them from every unifying and achieving their ultimate dream of a unified caliphate.
But, Obama just wants to ignore the problem and allow it to grow and unite. This is the Chamberlain tactic that led to the deaths of millions fighting fascism while millions more were slaughtered in camps.
Aren’t there also a billion heroin addicts?
