A steel structure looking some what like a steel horse but what this cap had wa a square shape and four ‘’legs’’ that held the steel columns in place. Explosive would not have bought down either of the buildings as they had floor space that was very wide and plenty of glass that would have dissipated the force of the blast. Heat weakend the trusses, softening to the point where the top ones snapped away from the outside steel columns and gravity took over.
