Today, Jobs, Opportunity, and New Ideas PAC announced the location of the first annual Roast and Ride, hosted by U.S. Senator Joni Ernst. The event, to be held June 6, 2015, will take place at the Central Iowa Expo grounds near Boone. The grounds are home to many summertime events, including the Farm Progress Show.
We are fortunate as Iowans to have many great places to hold events like the Roast and Ride. This year, the Central Iowa Expo is the perfect site for the inaugural event and were looking forward to the opportunity to bring Iowans together there this summer, PAC official Derek Flowers said. With a great central Iowa location just west of Ames, we hope supporters from all across the state will attend the Roast and Ride.
The Roast and Ride will feature family friendly activities, entertainment, an opportunity to visit with Senator Ernst, meet potential 2016 presidential contenders, and show support for Republican candidates and officials in Iowa. Invitations have been sent to potential presidential candidates and many have expressed an interest in attending.

Joni...this is awesome, but please be aware of the a$$holes that will try to pull something at this event — Hopefully she will have several off-duty plain clothes officers there to keep the occupy kids in line or anyone else looking to take a cheap shot.

Good on Joni, a real woman!
Nice, very rural location. And there are lots of webcam vantage points. Parking is tough if it happens to be during a wet spell.
This is isolated enough so that professional protesters would be like flashing neon.
My hometown...might have to visit.
