NBC/WSJ POLL: At 59%, Support for Same-Sex Marriage Hits New High
NBC News ^ | 03/10/2015

Almost six in ten Americans say they favor allowing gay and lesbian couples to enter into same-sex marriages, the highest level of support ever recorded in a NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

In the new survey released Monday, 59 percent of Americans said that they favor same-sex marriages while just 33 percent said they oppose them.

View the full poll results here.

The numbers have shifted dramatically in the past decade. In 2004, only 30 percent of Americans said they supported same-sex marriage, while 62 percent disagreed. Half of those polled at the time said they strongly opposed allowing gays and lesbians to marry.

Democratic pollster Fred Yang noted how quickly public opinion has shifted on the issue, even compared to interracial marriage, which is now almost universally accepted.

"It took about 25 years for interracial marriage to get from 30 percent support to 60 percent," he said. "It took same-sex marriage ten years."

The share of the public backing same-sex marriage has even jumped from just two years ago, when 53 percent of Americans backed it and 42 percent did not.

That's due in part to big increases in support among Republicans (up 13 percent since 2013), seniors (up seven percent), and Hispanics (up 18 percent).

Yet another example of how a decade of endless media propaganda can make people think that even things that are bad for them, are good.

Because, in public square, almost nobody opposes it, not even the Church.

If there is such a groundswell of support for homosexual marriage, then why did state after state vote to define marriage in the traditional manner, with only a handful of liberal states voting to allow it?

Then why does it fail every time it’s put on the ballot?

Do not trust polls from the lamestream media. They rig the question so they will get the result they want and can manufacture news based upon a rigged poll.

I would be interested in a poll on this that was run by the Christian News Post, CBN or TBN.

Example:
NBC Question: Do you believe to consulting adults who are in love should be allowed to marry?

CBN Question: Do you believe in homosexual marriage that is an abomination in the Bible and could result in Christian persecution and harm to society?

Most of society is now confused over the whys and wherefores of moral issues.

If ever a faith was positioned to explain the whys and wherefores it would be the Christian faith. Beginning with a God that is love, it is positioned to explain how His plan is the tangible outworking of this love and not some bullying minded “kneel-before-Zod” scheme.

I am not so sure this is the last hurrah for the church, not sure at all. God absolutely excels at coming back from behind. But it is going to have to sober up and realize what kind of nonsense has resulted from being asleep at the wheel.

Absolutely refuse to believe this...for several reasons. One is that the pervert lobby has for 10 years, blocked all attempts to put pervert “marriage” on the referendum ballot here in the Gay State.

2% of the population identifies as preferring homosexual sex.

Out of that not all of them want monogamy or marriage.

We are talking about an issue that affects less than 1% of the country but because the newsrooms are staffed with more than 25% homosexuals, these stories lead the day’s news.

Yes, part of this is poll skewing.

But this is where watchdogs need to bark.

RE: Then why does it fail every time it’s put on the ballot?

That was then. I’d like to try it again today, in say — California or New York.
