He still needs to be vetted and challenged. The notion that a candidate should be nominated without knowing whats in them is as atrocious as the way Obamacare was passed.

Thanks for posting... The article was generally even-handed, and the writer confessed her biases with her identification as a New Yorker (she didn't even mention Rudy Giuliani except when talking about Scott Walker).

I think she's too quick to dismiss Huckabee (I'm not a fan, but hey...) and Sarah Palin (New York women can't stand her, it turns out, and lots of other GOP women as well; I was surprised a couple of times on that score four or five years ago when, even after the election was over, certain women who liked GOP candidates, seethed at the mention of Sarah's name), although I would have to believe her when she says Donald Trump is just playing around with politics.

I would prefer Cruz or Palin over Walker because of his coolness to issues I care about. Union-buster isn't the top credential on my list.

But the author's right, and even a little short of right, about Jeb's Uberness. That guy, empathize and sympathize with less-than-totally-liquid Republicans? I cannot imagine it. He'd just as willingly contract us all out as indentured labor to Tata International or the King of Spain, as defend our 1A, 2A, and 10A rights -- forget 4A, 5A, 9A, 75% of the people don't even know what they are, and Jeb knows they don't.

No on Jeb.

I think Walker will peak early. The real race will be between Bush and Cruz.

I think so too. He’s about as fake as a 3 dollar bill.

“I am united behind Cruz”

Me too, until and if he says no and then I would probably write him in unless it’s Walker.

No. I'm sure he would manage to get through a tax reduction of some sort.

After all that's the only reason Republicans get elected anywhere, any more.

Everyone, even conservatives, want to have their cake and eat it too.

Obviously the establishment has softened to Walker because they see he can be bought.

I've seen a couple of people make similar innuendos, but no one has bothered to elaborate. Exactly what has Walker done to make them "see he can be bought"?

[ we still have months and months to vet Walker, but i expect to see his campaign posting press releases as comments and we need some real critical analysis ]

Indeed, we have had more time to vet Ted Cruz by his actions since he is more of a national figure. A lot about Scott Walker has been local Wisconsin Media releated so it will be interesting to see how that translates nationally.

I agree and Cruz is a lawyer with great rhetoric and can articulate his positions well, but what he has actually put into action? He is better off in the “world’s greatest deliberative” body—the Senate.

About that 'Common Core' fiasco....

A professor at Granite State College and chair of the history department at the Derryfield School in Manchester, New Hampshire admitted to writing the Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts in order to end white privilege.

He ain’t perfect but he damn sure ain’t Bush. There are more than a few here saying they ARE the same. Insanity at its best.

So what do you think? We all know you're pretty sharp, so just go ahead and spell it out. I've already said my say, above.

Walker has been the only one that has beaten the democrats and passed conservative laws. Walkers actions (passing conservative laws) proves that he is conservative and his record vetted him. You try to slander the only hope America has of becoming free and prosperous by parroting liberal media lies. You deserve what the democrats will do to you which is take away all your property and income to be redistributed in their socialist welfare state . you gave us Obama now you lie and spin to try to slander a great conservative Scott Walker.

Here's a clue : government doesn't work as it is unaccountable. You trust government which is really dumb
