You remember, some troll scold bitched at me in open thread, that the victims "looked like nice people" -- without of course noting anything else, such as the #1 below: and from the FRchives:

Suzanne, your hijab (scarf on her head) is a symbol whether you like it or not. It is a symbol of the darkest evil that has ever been loosed on this earth, and by now a majority of Americans, whether they will admit it to a pollster or not, have come to equate your hijab with the pictures of your fellow Muslims about to cut off the heads of the beach17 or burning the pilot, or selling 8 year old girls into prostitution or gang rapes of 8 year old girls or burning 43 fellow humans alive and I could go on and on endlessly with the atrocities being routinely committed each day by YOUR Muslims.

During our Civil War, women didn’t walk down the streets of Atlanta wearing an American flag wrapped around their head. Stay in SFO, you will be safe in Pelosi’s hometown. The Libs in SFO “feel good” being around someone like you.

Or, better yet, if you want to whine about what Americans think about this ongoing war with YOUR Muslims and wear your Muslim “flag” down the street with complete immunity, try Beirut, there are lots of Muslims there.

Where is THIS in the Constitution. You can’t just make stuff up.

First of all, the Constitution is NOT the definer of rights. That's why there is a 9th Amendment.

Second of all, how can rights not be reciprocal? It is self-evident, as described in the Declaration of Independence.

Under what bizarre theory of human rights can it be that you have to recognize my rights, but I don't have to recognize yours? Isn't that the idea behind criminal punishment? You kill someone, or steal from them, etc., you lose your right to freedom because you have failed to recognize the rights of others.

You have the right of self defense because of the principle of rights being reciprocal.

You may say: "Well, if you steal from me, I don't have the right to steal from you." But just because under law the people have delegated certain enforcement powers to the government, that doesn't mean that rights aren't reciprocal, unless you believe, as does the idiot lawyer Christ Cuomo, that rights come from man, not God.

If Cuomo is right, you only have whatever "rights" the government grants you, which is to say that there is no such thing as a right at all.

How can you argue, in good faith, that I have the right to stop you from practicing your religion, but that you are obligated to respect my right to practice mine? How can you expect to be taken at all seriously if you make such an argument.

Of course rights are reciprocal. How can they not be?

Rights as enumerated in the Constitution are equal to all. No exception.

When a felon commits a crime, he forfeits some rights. When a person is not an adult or somehow debilitated, rights might be abbreviated or restricted.

But all rights and laws apply to all.

I would ask why every time a refugee from a hell hole nation is granted access and passage to the US, he is a Muslim? Why are not those Christian folks that are facing annihilation in a genocidal manner given safe passage and a home within our borders?

The Shooting in Chapel Hill and the confirmation of Kayla Jean Mueller’s death happened on the same day.
