The BBCs Middle East Editor, Jeremy Bowen, has rejected allegations that he is anti-Semitic after he tweeted an offensive message against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu during his speech to Congress last week.
As Netanyahu was speaking, Bowen noted that he had mentioned Elie Wiesel, a survivor of Nazi concentration camps, and added, Once again Netanyahu plays the holocaust [sic] card.
Bowen immediately faced attacks on Twitter over his comment and, on the Jewish Chronicle website, Alan Johnson wrote that Bowens comments were a bloody disgrace.

some people are so anti-Jew or anti=Christian (usually both, since they are so closely related and since what these people object to most is the common J-C moral code they don’t want to even try to live up to...) that they don’t even know they sound like Nazi sickos
its sort of like...permeating all through their being...its not like something isolated in a single part of them that they can do any self-examination and, hopefully, correct what’s broken in their lives
ps:
in my limited experience....while we HAVE to call these horrible statements out.....and while we have to try to get their speakers to self-examine and reform
in my limited experience... some of these people appear far beyond much chance of repair, repentence, reform, or for that matter, redemption
Yes, defeating them is the best thing to do.
Forget about bringing them around to the side of light, just defeat their darkness.
exactly .... defeating them is just about all we can really do
reforming them is impossible in mayb 98% of the cases
they simply must be destoyed is all
before they destroy all the rest of us
Screw the BBC!
Just some more of that special kind of British upper-class Anti-Semitism that’s never gone away. Unfortunately, there’s no one these days with the sharp wit of a Disraeli to call it out for exactly what it is.
Bowen is anti-Semitic.
Jeremy Bowen is no more antisemitic than Barack Obama is.
Bowen would likely be, and maybe even has likely been, the first to condemn any anti-obama statement as racist. If not for double standards, the left would have no standards at all.
They do have any standards they want. They’re the queens of arbitrary standards.
You don’t HAVE to be anti-Semitic to disagree with Bibi, anymore than you have to be racist to disagree with Obama on policy...oh, wait...
I started typing that reply yesterday afternoon, then the grandkids arrived...
