Maybe Menendez and Hillary, the latest casualties of Obama’s vengeful petulance, should get together and share information about Team Obama. People forget Hillary was the first birther for starters. These two must know the bodies are buried.
Lets say that this case wanders along until October, and Christie now realizes that he’s NOT going to get any real support for the primary season. Don’t you think he’ll just appoint himself as the Mendendez case gets decided (say Jan of 2016)?

Technically, he can’t just appoint himself. He makes a deal to resign as governor, then his successor appoints him.
