Kinda dumb but not necessarily shocking from teenagers. The name of the prom is dumb, but I was hoping to hear some of the events that were going to happen with the communist prom. It seems like it is a regular prom with a weird name. We’ve seen worse.
While they may have voted this week, this prom had better be listed in their 5-year plan.
No refreshments, no limos rides, and all the girls in plain grey dresses and the guys in grey jumpsuits...think of the $ the parents will save.

I saw a bad movie on cable where school kids did the same thing. Came to the school dance dressed as Trotsky, Castro, Yassir Arafat.

The “communism” theme doesn’t surprise me. A look at the school photos indicates, surprisingly, that the students are largely “Anglo-White”; the school is a charter school.
The focus is on International studies and preparation to “thrive at any of the world’s accredited colleges and universities becoming driving forces in their local, regional, national, and global communities”.
Much as I’d expected...Anglo-whites are preparing their children to “go global” and have the ability to become expats. In other words, they see the hand writing on the wall as far as the future of the US is concerned.
If not, they aren't doing it right.
