"Embattled" Hillary Clinton urges State Department to release emails
Reuters ^ | March 5th 2015 | Steve Holland

Reuters) - U.S. Democrat Hillary Clinton on Wednesday broke her silence over a budding controversy involving her use of personal email for work when she was secretary of state, saying she wanted the U.S. State Department to release them swiftly.

Clinton's statement was aimed at cooling a political firestorm over allegations that she inappropriately used her personal email for work while secretary of state from 2009 to 2013.

"I want the public to see my email," the potential 2016 presidential candidate said in a tweet. "I asked State to release them. They said they will review them for release as soon as possible."

Not sure if Reuters falls under the excerpt rules. The article continues at the link.

Question: If these emails existed on a personal server located at her home and run by her personal staff, why does she need State department approval to release them?

I think this is a dodge - she's saying "Yes, release the emails" As the story is about her PERSONAL email, people infer she means "release my private email" but SHE means "Release my State Department emails" which is why she needs State Department approval.

Clintonian, indeed.

Yep, that’s right. She had her employees pick through the emails on her server and release 55,000 to the state department. Now Hillary is saying the State Department should release those emails. She didn’t address the rest of the emails on her server.

It’s a ploy for the low info voters who don’t really understand what’s going on.

“will review them for release as soon as possible”

Oh puhleeze. After years of investigations and FOIA requests and at least one hack we know of, Hillary is all of a sudden going to release select emails to State and then urge them to release select emails to the public and pretend she has nothing to hide?

Why now Hillary? Why weren’t these released three years ago?

MESHUGEMIKEY INSIGHTFULLY POSTED: post-modern thought is all situational....there are no absolutes...and therefore anything can be whatever anyone wants...

Every move she makes is laser-focused on political "survival". The Clintons have the survival skills of the cockroach---once they infest your domain---its almost impossible to get rid of them.

==============================================

TREY GOWDY AND THE CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTEES better get some tecchies on-board to follow this...its more complicated than we could ever imagine.

PAPABEAR3625 POSTED Dem apologists for Clinton assert that her homebrew server was secure, physically protected by Secret Service agents protecting her home......Now WHO was her system administrator? Did he have remote access? What security clearance level did he have, given that some of her emails probably contained sensitive information, if not top secret and beyond? ....

A very astute tecchie told Greta last night Hillary uses godaddy.com which offers very sophisticated email environments.

Perhaps someone should check Sandy Burger’s pants for the missing emails?

Translation: Please release the small subset of emails that I carefully screened before forwarding to the State Department. Don’t pay any attention to the bulk of emails on my personal server. Nothing to see here!”

That is some pretty deep gall if you ask me. If she were a man, right about now saying about how big the brass balls on her are.

Blaming the State Department for not releasing emails she intentionally kept and keeps hidden from them, even now only doling out harmless emails stored inside her home server.

The server in her home should be seized immediately and its contents completely inspected and download. A full forensic file analysis should also be complete.

Following a Monday-night New York Times article revealing that Clinton used a personal email account to conduct official government business when she served as secretary of state, critics are accusing Clinton of high-handedness, stupidity, arrogance and even jeopardizing national security.

Jeopardizing US ntl security----that's how they nailed Petraeus w/ a felony----by his misappropriating top secret info---and emailing it to his mistress/biographer.

They said they will review them for release as soon as possible.

Shouldn't take that long for what, about a dozen emails? ;-)

Seriously, how many "official" emails are there to review on State's servers vs how many "unofficial" are left on Clinton's private server. Of course any trace of the ones she didn't want found/read are gone. That's why you go to the trouble and expense to set up and operate your own server - so you can wipe any local traces of things you don't want found. This b*tch belongs in an orange jumpsuit for the rest of her miserable life.

Both her and Bill's electronic equipment need to be seized at once.

The specter of Bill hovering over the computer taking notes---on who to hit-up for foundation donations---has to be factored in.

I’ve said it here before...that server wasn’t JUST for one email account for her alone. It is capable of hundreds, thousands (or more) accounts - all unscrutinized by government email servers.

In simple terms, it’s like she operated her own post office outside the USPS, complete with sorting, distribution and mail carriers.

Not to be overlooked----investigating the State Dept's missing $6 billion...... and who might have hacked into those email accounts to transfer funds.....

Hillary and Bill left a huge electronic "paper trail" that they thought was hidden from accountability.

Those so-called "State Dept contractors" need to be investigated.....

<><> to determine their email addies....

<><> to determine if the "contractors" are legit ......and,

<><> whether bogus contractors are funneling monies into the Clinton entities.

Well, you can be absolutely certain of one thing: any emails regarding the subject on which you commented HAVE NOT been given by Clinton to the State Department.

So they're looking at a total of 4 "good" emails then? LOL

I'm still of two minds over the release of this info:
1. Did the WH do this to thwart her campaign so they can get their person in?
2. Did Hillary!'s people do this to get it out of the way so it'll be old news by election day?

Time will tell, I guess...

Which flunkies in Hillary’s shadow government went through all her emails to decide which emails to turn over? Were they authorized to read and copy classified information? Or are we to believe that no email that was sent or received by Clinton while she was Secretary of State contained any classified information?

All great questions that need to be answered. I just hope they are.
