The USCCB eventually, after waiting about thirty years, adopted a policy against inviting abortionists to be honored at, or to speak at, Catholic institutions.

The Jesuits have been total holdouts. AFAIK, EVERY Jesuit college (there are 28 of them) invites abortionists for commencement speakers and for honorary degrees.

This Xavier..the one in Louisiana is not a Jesuit university. That doesn’t mean the Jesuits aren’t liberal, just that Xavier Louisiana was founded by a nun from the sisters of the blessed sacrament or some such order.

Nothing happens within a diocese without the approval of the bishop; even the orders can only operate within them with his approval.

These weak leaders can’t have it both ways; they are either Catholic or they aren’t. I believe the Catholic Church is the true Church, and I wouldn’t send them a plugged nickel until they address the lack of leadership/example.
