Nothing happens within a diocese without the approval of the bishop; even the orders can only operate within them with his approval.
These weak leaders can’t have it both ways; they are either Catholic or they aren’t. I believe the Catholic Church is the true Church, and I wouldn’t send them a plugged nickel until they address the lack of leadership/example.
The last four or five Popes have appointed hundreds upon hundreds of corrupt, immoral, heretical, Marxist bishops, and then whined about how the Church is falling into chaos. And they have done this while being inundated with letters from the laity.
The latest appointment in San Diego is another open-borders fanatic, who also believes in Communion for abortionists.
