BOSTON – Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has closed to within one point of favorite son former Gov. John Ellis (“Jeb”) Bush in Bush’s home state of Florida, according to a new poll of GOP voters in the Sunshine State.

Bush leads Walker, 23-22, in a poll this week of 508 Florida Republicans by Gravis Insights, a Florida-based non-partisan research firm. The poll was conducted for the Howie Carr radio show.

In third place was another favorite son, FL Sen. Marco Rubio, with 11 percent. Former AR Gov. Mike Huckabee had 10 percent, ahead of retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson with 8 percent, NJ Gov. Chris Christie with 6 percent and KY Sen. Rand Paul with 5 percent.

Two candidates from Texas – Sen. Ted Cruz and former Gov. Rick Perry – finished even further behind, with 2 and 1 percent of the vote, respectively.

Eleven percent of the Republican respondents said they were unsure whom they would vote for....

Jeb Bush is not popular in Florida due to Common Core. Big pushback

Jebbie appears to be more popular in his native TX than in FL then. People in TX voted more than 70 percent for George P. Bush on Nov. 4, 2014.

Feb 23, 2015:Texas

"Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has erased U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz’s strong lead among Texas Republicans in the volatile and still-developing race for the party’s 2016 presidential nomination, according to the latest University of Texas/Texas Tribune Poll.

Cruz’s 25 percentage-point lead over Walker in October has vanished: The Texan won the support of 20 percent of the state’s registered voters to Walker’s 19 percent — a statistical tie. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and author Ben Carson were tied at 9 percent, and former Texas Gov. Rick Perry was next at 8 percent."....

The Huffington Post is going shithouse about Walker.

The Left, while funny when panicking, is also very dangerous in a world of low-information voters.

The "little P" won the primary and got toted in on the coat tails. I would not count on him for much going forward.

....The Left, while funny when panicking, is also very dangerous in a world of low-information voters.

Exhibit A:

Here's the Democratic Party base "............The 2016 elections will be nothing less than an attempt by Religious conservatives to destroy America and turn it into a 13th century-ish, Islamic State-like apparatus of repression. We have already seen agreement by the Religious Right and the Islamic State on certain theological issues, with the major disagreement between them being what to call God and the set of anti-constitutional religious laws used to hold us all in thrall.

Practically speaking, from where the rest of us stand, it doesn’t matter if we are being repressed by Sharia law or the Law of Moses. Repressed is repressed. I warned you that the 2014 midterms would be a vote between democracy and theocracy. It was, and democracy lost. But in 2016, we are electing not only a congress but a president.

One thing become clear in all this: the enemy isn’t in Iraq and Syria. The enemy is here. And they’re coming for us in 2016."

Expect another GOPe assault against Walker. Giuliani was just the first to try to take Walker down. There will be others.

The worst thing about Common Core is that it is a direct attack on America’s Christian values. 1st and 2nd graders are taught that all morality is just opinion.

There was an opportunity to vote against George P. in the primary exactly one year ago today, but TX Republicans again stuck with the establishment.

Don’t forget the GOPe. Giuliani’s attack against Walker is just the first. They won’t take him head on like the Left will. Instead they’ll sidle up to him and give him the shiv.

People in TX are so establishment GOP that they yet throw out Cruz in 2018.

This is the cabal [teachers' unions being their biggest trump card in the "get out the money and muscle" machine for the Left - with trial lawyers not far behind]. This is the sort of thing our youth have been learning in school.

How did Giuliani attack Walker? I missed that part of the story. I recall that Walker sat mostly silent when Giuliani attacked Obama.
