CNN’s Carol Costello Gets Candid: Hillary Made a ‘Dumb Move’ (with private email account)

CNN anchor Carol Costello got a little candid this morning while describing Hillary Clinton‘s decision to use private email for government matters while she was Secretary of State.

Clinton is currently embroiled in controversy as it was revealed that she possibly violated government protocol during her tenure in the Obama administration. Explicit regulations, put in place shortly before she took office, state that government emails must be retained on the public server. After she left State, Clinton willingly turned over 55,000 pages of emails for public archiving, but that now leaves people to wonder what emails she could possibly be withholding, if at all.

During her CNN broadcast on Tuesday morning, Costello was flabbergasted by the ex-secretary’s decision to use private emails. “Why would Hillary Clinton do such a — gosh, I don’t want to use the adjective I have in my head,” she asked Daily Beast EIC John Avlon in the clip Grabien” target=”_blank”>flagged by Grabien. “Why would she do this?”

After Avlon asserted Clinton and her camp are “trying to control the message” by handing over the emails and suggested they were being somehow more transparent by doing so, Costello finally aired her true feelings: “I’ll say what the adjective was in my head: It seems kind of like a dumb move on Hillary Clinton’s part because surely she knew this would come out at some point in time.”

Hillary Made a ‘Dumb Move’

In other news, dog bites man.

i.e. it’s her MO.

Costello is just upset because she’s worried it’ll hurt Hillary with voters.

NOT because she thinks it was wrong.

“Explicit regulations, put in place shortly before...”

This article is a bunch of carp.

Did she violate regulations, ie law, or “protocol”?

Hillary did something illegal or unethical? The Clintons are not being transparent and forthcoming about something? Missing files are being sought? So what else is new? This is normal for the Clintons. What seems odd is the MSM calling this into question.

“dumb move”?

Try... illegal, criminal.

Like the description of Sandy Berger stealing documents from the national archive - “sloppy”.

This is not just a question of whether she shouldn’t have done it that way.

It is an illegal activity that is fraud on and theft from the American people.

It was intentionally. She decided this was her best chance to hide her crimes.

Fortunately, Hillary and her crew are not as smart as they think they are.

I am certain that it those 55,000 e-mails, there are references to, and links to, e-mails and conversations that are not included in the 55,000 turned over.

Did she also report that Bernie Madoff “made a dumb move” when he bilked all his investors?

Did she report that Dzokar Tsarnaev “made a dumb move” when he set off his bombs at the Boston Marathon?

Neither Madoff, Tsarnaev or Clinton made “dumb moves.” They deliberately committed criminal acts, and all three should be imprisoned for them.

But only two will be.

“Dumb Move”

It is much worse than that. It was an intentional action to keep her government activities from the prying public! In other words, it was a blatant criminal action.

it matters not because nothing will come of this. If you doubt that, consider that she got away with murder, literally, by shrieking “what difference does it make” and lying her ample ass off in front of a congressional committee, chaired by the wimp, Darrel Issa. Not to mention Vince Foster. She’s always gotten away with it, Rose Law, cattle futures trading, Whitewater, bimbo payoffs, you name it. Hillary never loses, except when Obama “stole” the nomination from her and you can bet an email kerfuffle will mean nothing once she becomes a candidate. The media will simply tell everyone it means nothing just like they have countless times before - “what difference at this point does it make”?

From the article:

Why would she do this?
Because she is profoundly arrogant and considers her agenda above the law.

…a dumb move on Hillary Clinton’s part because surely she knew this would come out at some point in time.
She is not dumb and it is a mistake for the MSM to describe her behavior as such; see above, particularly the part about her being arrogant.

It was smart no? She keeps her emails private, and their won’t be any serious political repurcussions.
