“It was normal and American. It was safe.”

That statement reminds me of the black family that moved in next to me. Yes, my neighborhood is predominantly white, which is IMO why they moved into it, they wanted to get away from crime. Funny thing is, 2 years ago his SUV got broken into in his driveway and brand new DVD system was stolen. That seemed kind of ironic to me. So much for living in a safe white neighborhood I guess.

I don’t have a problem in living next door to a black family whose principal breadwinner works, pays taxes and has skin in the game (mortgage, etc.) that isn’t supplemented by entitlements in any way.
