APOPKA, Fla. —
U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson spoke at an Apopka event Sunday intended to support and educate residents about President Barack Obama’s recent executive action on immigration.
Funding for the Department of Homeland Security will last only through the end of the week.
A long-term solution has not yet been reached because of the ongoing debate over immigration.
Channel 9’s Janai Norman spoke to a local family caught in the middle of the debate.
The Manceras are immigrants from Mexico and for more than 18 years, they’ve been stuck in the immigration process.
“There (are) families that may be separated and may be broken away, and families that are American, as American as you can get,” said Juan Mancera.

Grayson got re-elected?? How did I miss this...? I thought he was out of Congress... He is the epitome of nasty leftist...
Note that the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate immigration, immigration uniquely a 10th Amendment-protected state power issue. So if Rep. Grayson really wants to support lawless Obama’s unconstitutional immigration policy then he must do the following.
Rep. Grayson must rally Congress to propose an immigration amendment to the Constitution to the states. And if the states choose to ratify the amendment then the feds will have the constitutional authority that they need to regulate immigration and Rep. Grayson will be a hero.
He has the money to buy his way back. Besides...the Democrat voters just love him.
He was defeated in 2010. FL voters, in their infinite wisdom, voted for a Democrat initiative called “Fair Districts”, which forced the heavy GOP majorities to draw more Democrat seats, and Grayson benefitted from that and was able to claim a new seat in 2012 (the Republican who beat him, Daniel Webster, now is in an adjacent district).
Any time a Leftist uses the word “fair”, stand with your back to the wall and protect your throat.
No kidding.
