Boehner joins McConnell in fetal position
redstate.com ^ | 2/28/15

After having his leadership repudiated by his own caucus yesterday, last night Speaker Boehner turned to his best friend in the House, minority leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi, for a life line. Using a procedural motion to suspend the rules, which required two-thirds vote, Boehner passed the Orwellian named Protecting Volunteer Firefighters and Emergency Responders Act by a vote of 357-60. He did it with Democrat votes. Where he lost 51 GOP members on the earlier vote he lost 55 GOP members the second time around.

The mind boggles.

What is going to happen in one week that fixes this problem?

More to the point, what is going to happen in a week with funding that wouldn’t happen faster in a week without funding?

Right now both Boehner and McConnell are negotiating with themselves over the terms of their own surrender. This did not have to be.

Funding DHS is completely irrelevant to DHS continuing operations to national security is not jeopardized in any way, shape, or form. If you want to have your crotch groped by some mouth-breather at the airport, you secret fetish is not endangered. In a sane world, Boehner and McConnell would see that they can walk away from this farce and let Reid and Obama decide when they want DHS to resume full operations.

While the fallout and downside are minuscule, the stakes are huge. Will Congress acquiesce in letting Obama set his own immigration policy, a policy that runs counter to the law? The only tool Congress has in this battle is the appropriations authority. If it won’t refuse to appropriate money to fund non-essential functions of DHS, it has become irrelevant and we are a dictatorship, not a constitutional republic.

The EXEMPT GOP, party of ROmneyCARE/OBamaCARE,
party of covering up the IRS Atrocity,
party of covering up Benghazi,
party of GIVE.OBAMA.POWER is disgusting.

The EXEMPT AGAIN lied to the public for their
votes .... then went their merry, treasonous way.

Boehner can’t kabuki fast enough.

There is zero hope for anything we want unless the rino/gop-e “leadership” is removed and conservatives with balls take over.

This whole never-ending play of dems in charge/we can’t do anything, repubs in charge/we can’t do anything has run its course.

We have a gutless Republican leadership. Why the Republicans disarmed themselves? When in power, Senator Reid changed the rules of the Senate and imposed the nuclear option- not more filibuster, 51 votes will stop Obama's lawless tyrannical rule.

“What is going to happen in one week that fixes this problem? “

Boehner either makes a deal with the House Freedom Caucus to get a bill through or he makes one with Pelosi.
We assume it will be with Pelosi.

When Boehner crammed the omnibus through with just the DHS CR he intended then to scream “national security” when the DHS renewal came up and force it through.

Funding DHS is completely irrelevant to DHS continuing operations

Kind of hard on the Coast Guard personnel and the Border Patrol agents and the Secret Service and the Customs Agents who have to go to work and not get paid. But still, McConnell and Boehner screwed this up royally. They overplayed their hand and gave in at the first opportunity.

This is a win too for anti-mass-illegal immigrationists...like me.

The Republican Party is tearing itself apart and a Constitutional Crisis is underway because of the Mexican colonization and takeover.

How long does the World’s Greatest Power let a degraded craphole do this to it?

At some point even a pair of soulless grifters like McConnell and Boehner gotta get mad.

The obvious target of their anger should be the Mexican government which foments this. But knowing them, they’ll probably just be upset with their own party.

Unfortunately for them, the former is something they can do something about, the latter....not so much. Unless they just want to resign.

So it’s their choice. Stick it to Mexico, or stick it to us.

And at the moment, it’s us that votes.

When it comes to playing hardball with the ‘RATS, of these two, McConnell is the weakest link. McConnell is refusing to eliminate the 60 vote closure rule for the current Homeland Security legislation that excludes funding for Obama’s illegal and extra-constitutional Amnesty activities. Boehner needs to hold out and force McConnell to take that common-sense action.

Pass the legislation with a simple majority closure vote and LET OBAMA VETO IT. Let the “government shutdown” clearly be OWNED by Obama & the ‘RATS! “PUT THE MONKEY ON OBAMA’S AND THE RATS’ BACKS”—what is so damn hard about that McConnell.

what is so damn hard about that McConnell.

His actions make sense if he's for amnesty.

It’s a toss-up between Boner and McTurtle as to which one will deal the fatal blow to Republican Party.

What’s truly mind-boggling is how these two are acting like NOV 2014 never happened.

The 50 or so real conservatives should jump ship now, found the Freedom Party.

It has to happen.

The GOP is already owned by The Cheap Labor Express.
They will thwart any attempt on their power.
The Republicans are representing the employers of the illegal aliens, the Democrats are representing the illegal aliens.
Somebody has to represent the citizens.

How are these RINOs working out for us now? What was that about them making the difference when the stakes are down?

At least the Democrats are open about their agenda. These bastards are shooting from inside the camp, and they are supposed to be the leaders! Vote for the RINOS even if you have to hold your nose—but that stench was gangrene and it should have been cut out...
