Those pics of school lunches are disgusting. Neither of my daughters ever have or had school supplied lunch. My wife always sent them off with tasty, fresh food. A Ding Dong, Twinkie or a Ring Ding for desert. Are kids not allowed to bring in a bag lunch? If so, seems to me that the parents of these kids should “get movin” and pack a lunch.

They should, but they won’t. Even at our small rural school most kids eat breakfast and lunch at school. Parents are just too busy.

It seems that bulk of what I do as a homeschooling mom is to plan, buy and prepare good food for my six kiddos. Most of the public school moms I know have far better things to do with their time.

I am just glad I was there in the days of square pizza.
Take all your french fries, put them on top of the pizza and roll it up like sushi.
That way we could carry it outside to the courtyard and check out the preppy girls.

Some schools don’t allow kids to bring their own lunch. Schools that do allow them to bring lunches usually have to inspect them to be sure it is healthy and meets their standards. And they take anything that doesn’t away from the kid.

Some only allow if they have a signed paper from a doctor.
