If the GOP doesn't stop Obama now they never will
Vanity | Pietro

This isn't just about amnesty; it's about net neutrality, it's about bans on bullets, it's about the EPA shutting down power plants, its about using the IRS as a political goon squad.

Its about a post-constitutional autocratic destruction of the American Republic.

If the GOP doesn't stop Obama now, they never will.

The way I see it, is that we’ll be voting in a new President in a year and a half and Obama won’t be around after that ... :-) ...

They aren’t going to stop Obama and that is why they have already squandered any chance for a 2016 victory.

They were voted in to do something. The trust is totally broken.

The next election may have to be decided from the roof tops.

The next stop is Civil War which will result in a break-up of the country. I don’t see any other path.

Its about a post-constitutional... American Republic.

Yeah, that's what were facing. Instead of the rule of Law through our Representatives; we've got the rule of King Obama and God help us, the Hildebeast after him.

Kiss Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the Press, Freedom of Assembly and now Freedom of the Internet and all other Freedoms and Rights we have enjoyed.

When the courts failed and the loyal opposition failed to reign in Mr. Domestic Executive Orders Obama; they signed our death warrant.

With due respect, this author is delusional.

Polititians are TOGETHER. They pretend to squabble for our benefit; so that WE pick ‘our’ team and root for them.
All the while the true contest is between THEM and US, the citizens of this country.

They’ve got us down and they’re doing everything they can to ensure it remains that way forever.

I agree, but your list of transgressions is far too short. Every day I get either a call or an email from the Republican Party (although I am registered as Independent) asking for funds. My response is always the same, indicating I can no longer support them because of their unwillingness or lack of ability to fight for conservative causes. The caller usually responds with agreement, noting that they hear that a lot. This raises the question: Who are the major donors and what are their objectives? I live in America because it is a free (relatively, of course) country. Why would anyone want to throw America into the quagmire of nations seeking a global governance and a hierarchy placing corrupt officials and their cronies at the top? Why sacrifice innovation and technology that has made America great? Why weaken our nation to the point that domination by savages will eventually take place? The answers I come up with are scary. We need an opposition, not accommodating party. If not the Republicans, I then pray a new party will rise to save America.

". . . amnesty is a game-changer."

It will be perceived as such if we assume that everyone who crosses our border is intent on resting in the hammock of other people's wealth. Conservatives have insisted that people of other nations are intent on flocking to this country because of the opportunities for success based on merits. Which attitude is most common to human nature? Yearning for freedom and opportunity, or yearning for a life of ease? Conservatives, if they made a serious effort, could turn the tables on liberal Democrats if they found a way to educate and motivate the citizenry (including those who are pressing in) in matters of citizenship. Voting is not a right, but a privilege that ought to require testing and license. "If you come to this country expecting to live on other people's wealth, you will NOT be voting here. If you come here intent on working and improving our way of life while defending our freedoms, here is a test for you to pass, and until you do, you're not voting either."

We have rampant voter fraud in the country now and can’t even get ID requirements laws enacted. How the heck are we going to enforce anything like what you propose?

Absolutely correct.

We will never be allowed to vote for a President who will stop the invasion within the Uniparty, R and D divisions.

You'll notice that opposition to the Tea Party is across the board from the power elite that run this country.

And I believe that this is the last chance we have of stopping the death spiral of the republic. At least this is the last chance I'm giving the GOP to live up to their campaign promises.

I'm giving them this chance because the alternatives are bleak. I have no desire to participate in an armed insurrection, I don't want to shoot anybody.

If in the likely event that the GOP rolls over on their backs I'll continue w/ my own plan of investing in land and lead and protecting the interests of my family.

Then conservatives are stupid.
