Amid new speculation that John A. Boehners speakership somehow hangs in the balance as Republicans struggle with the Department of Homeland Security funding standoff, freshman Rep. Mia Love said maybe its Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell who should be worried.
In an interview with a Philadelphia radio station at the Conservative Political Action Conference Thursday, the Utah Republican said shes standing strong in the House-led effort to defund the presidents executive actions on immigration.
I was so incredibly proud in January when we passed the Homeland Security funding bill and defunded the executive act by the president, she told Talk Radio 1210 WPHT host Dom Giordano.
I was so excited that we were able to say, We are going to defund this presidents unconstitutional policy that he is pushing through. I am telling you that I am standing strong. I would like to just say that we have a leader in the Senate that is supposed to do his job and get the six votes that he needs in order to get this bill passed and if he cant do it, we need to get somebody else to do it.
Love, a former mayor of Saratoga Springs, is the first black Republican woman in Congress.

she’s right
let’s hope we hear more about replacing him
Can’t we do both?
Why do they pick the Old Worn-out Fools as leaders ?
Mia’s right ... MCDONNELL NEEDS TO GET SOME BALLS. He can get them from his wife if necessary; she has bigger balls than he does.
MCCONNELL, GET OFF YOUR SPINELESS DUFF AND GO TO THE NUCLEAR OPTION ON THIS PIECE OF LEGISLATION. Obama is usurping Congress’ legislative powers and McConnell is letting him!
Geeze, ya think? Before November I told anyone who would listen that we needed to let the Democrat Take McConnell's seat. It was the only way we could make the establishment learn who was in Charge, but everybody said "There's no way I could vote for a Democrat" and so now we have something worse.
A Cowardly, back stabbing Republican who speaks for us.
“Fire Boehner? Mia Love Says Maybe McConnell Needs the Boot”
They both need the boot, badly.
She vote for Boehner. Her pleas are falling on deaf ears.
Maybe Tammy Faye is getting sick of being Mitch’s beach.
Mia , slip a little Horse Laxative into John’s drink
There is no question. Boehn3r must go. Lincoln once asked of McClellan — “If you’re not going to use that army, might I borrow it for a while?” Exact analogy here.
after Mcconnell’s incompetent perfomance as minority leader who is shocked at his incompetence as majority leader. Looks like Harry Reid is still majority leader.
Because it’s their turn. They do the same thing with their presidential nominees. It was Bob Dole’s turn in 1996. It was McCain’s turn in 2008. It was Romney’s turn in 2012.
It’s time we stopped supporting this practice.
I understand your sentiment but at this point there is NOTHING worse than Barack Obama with nothing left to lose....NOTHING! Any resistance is better than none.
And McConnell doesn’t speak for us but at least he has to listen to us. A rat would just tell us what we can do with ourselves.
Playin the rubes.
She had her chance and stabbed us in the back. Now its all kubuki theatre.
The same people that fall for this fall for McCain and Graham being “conservatives” in election years.
Just a little nap and I’m good as new, don’t I wish!
The first two in line to get canned should be Harry Reid and Nanny Peloser!
