“Why is Sharpton on TV every night on MSNBC? Because he endorsed Comcast’s acquisition of NBCUniversal. He signed the memorandum of understanding back in 2010. He endorsed the merger. Next thing you know we’re watching him on television trying to form a sentence. Every night we have the privilege of watching adult illiteracy.”

“Al Sharpton is nothing more than a black pawn in a very sophisticated white economic chess game,” Allen continued. “He’s not even bright enough to know he’s on the chess board and he’s being used by his white masters at Comcast, specifically [executive vice president] David Cohen and [chairman and CEO] Brian Roberts.”

I can tell that I don't care for Byron Allen all that much. Pretty clear to me that he's a racist himself, and more likely than not his real axe to grind is that Al gets his cut while Byron does not. Having said that, if this means a "Texas Cage Match" fight to the death between Allen and Sharpton, I will get front row tickets.

MSNBC shake-up: Al Sharpton to lose nightly show (MSBNC spox says left-wing TV a goner)

The Daily Beast is reporting that Rev. Al Sharpton may lose his nightly time slot. “Politics Nation with Al Sharpton,” has aired since 2011 and has had a successful run. At issue is a steady slide in viewership....Chris Hayes is to be replaced by the “Rachel Maddow Show.” Maddow moves from 9 p.m. to 8 p.m., while a search is underway for a new host for the vacant time slot.

Sharpton’s show is rumored to be moving from nightly 6 p.m. to weekend-only. Sharpton attracts a solid 35 percent Black audience and is considered a lightning rod of controversy because of his activism on behalf of the oppressed. There has been no word from the Sharpton camp on the rumored changes.

The source at MSNBC stated the programming decisions were part of a change in MSNBC'S political mindset: “Going left was a brilliant strategy while it lasted, and made hundreds of millions of dollars for Comcast, but now it doesn’t work anymore…...The goal is to move away from left-wing TV.”

Ebonics Al raised $1 million for NAN at his 60th birthday bash in October, with donations rolling in from unions and a corporate roster of contributors including AT&T, McDonald’s, Verizon and Walmart.

Companies have gotten in line to pay Sharpton. Macy’s and Pfizer forked over thousands to NAN, as have General Motors, American Honda and Chrysler.

Yes. It does.

He used to be very very fat and his head was appropriately sized.

He did something to lose a lot of weight and become thinner.

His head, though, didn’t and can’t shrink commensurately.
