I assume this is because of the others involved such as witnesses, doctors, medical,
pick up body, etc and the inclement weather that may well shut down roads, etc. They
didn’t give a reason that I saw but I only scanned the article.
Just stick the body outside in the snow, the ice should keep the body in good condition until the coroner gets there.
No doubt you’re right, but why ruin a perfectly good story with facts?
It’s cold, the body would keep for a few days.
