“Here’s the truth of the matter: I don’t want to be politically correct. I don’t care about being politically correct at this point.


“President Obama, You don’t love America. If you really did love America, you would call ISIS what it really is: an assault on Christianity, an assault on America and downright hate for the American values that our country holds. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion and every single thing that our country stands for.”

He adds, “I hope that one day people will get enough guts to speak out against your downright hatred for this nation.”

Referring to ISIS, he said, “When they kill innocent Americans that have done no wrong except report on what is their constitutional right as journalists and you do nothing about it, you don’t care about their lives. You could care less!

“But here’s what you need to realize: here in America, we don’t back down to terrorists. We fight them on their own battleground and we annihilate them till the very end.

“Here in America, we don’t allow the government to take away what we work for but we continue to work harder so that we may continue to succeed.”

Pearson is executive director of a group called “Young Georgians in Government.”

His Facebook page says he is “committed to fighting for conservative principles and engaging young people in the political process.”

“Most young people really don’t have an interest in government or politics, but we need to pique that interest, we need to make sure that they know, the decisions politicians make are going to affect them,” the student told ABC 6 in a profile story last December.

... Police often have off-site facilities to have private conversations with their informants. But a retired Washington DC homicide detective, James Trainum, could not think of another circumstance nationwide where police held people incommunicado for extended periods.

“I’ve never known any kind of organized, secret place where they go and just hold somebody before booking for hours and hours and hours. That scares the hell out of me that that even exists or might exist,” said Trainum, who now studies national policing issues, to include interrogations, for the Innocence Project and the Constitution Project.

Regardless of departmental regulations, police frequently deny or elide access to lawyers even at regular police precincts, said Solowiej of First Defense Legal Aid. But she said the outright denial was exacerbated at Chicago’s secretive interrogation and holding facility: “It’s very, very rare for anyone to experience their constitutional rights in Chicago police custody, and even more so at Homan Square,” Solowiej said.

Etowah Co. chief administrator arrested on child sex abuse charge

CHAMBERS COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - Etowah County Chief Administrator Patrick Simms has turned himself in to authorities in Chambers County on a charge of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12.

The Chambers County Sheriff's Office website issued a news release on Friday saying Simms was named as a suspect February 8 when Chambers County's Criminal Investigative Division received a complaint about possible abuse.

The release says Simms and his attorney came to the jail in LaFayette, where Simms turned himself in on Thursday, Feb. 19. It also states Simms was booked and released on bond. It provided no further details about the alleged incident.

Simms has been Etowah County's Chief Administrator, the highest ranking non-elected official in the county government, since January 2006. In 2012 the Alabama County Administrators Association named him county administrator of the year.

On Friday, February 13, the Etowah County Commission held a called meeting, then went into executive session to discuss issues related to "courthouse security and technology."

When they returned, they voted to place Simms on administrative leave with pay, and did not give a reason or comment further.

A day earlier, FOX6 News had tried to reach Simms for an unrelated story, but despite our being told he was in the Etowah County Courthouse and had been tied up in meetings, he never returned our calls.

District 1 Commissioner Joey Statum told FOX6 briefly by phone the commission likely won't take any further action until next week, because four commissioners are flying to Washington to discuss the Highway 77 Southside bridge project with federal officials.

Statum says the next move is also predicated on hearing from Simms' attorney.

The Chambers County Sheriff's Office asks if anyone has any information about this case or any similar incidents to contact them or call Crime Stoppers.
