Braves, Indians, Fighting Irish, Padres, Yankees, etc?
As a descendant of a Dutch Colonist (1659), I really resent the Yankees trademark! The term is from an old, disparaging name that people used to call the Dutch. Many men were named Jan and they made and liked to eat cheese. Jan Cheese was shortened to Yankees. Actually I do not resent the trademark, it is another thing to be proud of.
