The federal court ruling that placed a temporary halt to President Obamas plans to grant amnesty to four million illegal aliens by executive fiat has emboldened Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, according to a Wednesday story in the Washington Times. Cruz suggested that even administration moves to prepare for the mass amnesty in anticipation of an eventual favorable outcome in the courts is in violation of the ruling. In Cruzs view, the Department of Homeland Security must stop spending money forthwith toward such efforts.
Cruz also artfully suggested that the basis of the Democratic filibuster of the DHS spending bill that prevents any enforcement of the presidents executive amnesty has been undercut. The court ruling also applies to Congress. No money should be appropriated for carrying out the executive amnesty order so long as the temporary injunction stands.
Despite brave talk that the temporary injunction will be quickly overturned by an appeals court, the administration is beginning to realize that the ruling means months of delay.

N O amnesty
B T T T
Obama doesn’t care, now he gets to tell pro-amnesty groups that he kept his promise to them and its out of his hands now.
How much pressure is he getting from black organizations that amnesty will hurt the black community?
I know the DOJ is a hopeless cause for any kind of prosecution against Barry but Congress must NOT allow him to violate the court order!!!!!!!
See my tagline.
Yeah....but Bronkobama checkmated himself....../snicker
This is why there's no tangible outrage from the black community.
None, he and Holder convinced them that cops are racist and have orders to kill black males on sight, and that only Dems care about stopping it, that the GOP wants them dead so they cant vote.
And don’t forget the Clintons pushed Motor Voter through back in 1993. Just like LBJ with the Great Society, Dems are always looking down the road to add locked in voters.
Cruz might need to weigh in further with a little bit of legal education for the masses.
The administration’s brief to the 5th circuit is supposedly saying that the 26 States don’t have standing to counteract the DoJ “prosecutorial discretion”.
Let that sink in. An agency of the Federal government is claiming that over half the Sovereign States of the United States don’t have standing to weigh in on a claim that directly affects them.
Eric Holder vs. Half the United States.
Really breathtaking in its imperial arrogance.
We are in charge here, we will decide what we can do, and you Dukes and Barons must be silent and wait for our verdict, you impudent nothings.
Thought we left that behind in 1776.
Even the liberal justices know they can’t bullshit Cruz.
How soon before Cubans in Cuba are allowed to vote in our elections?
The administration and the legislature seem to be toying with each other. Shadow boxing, feinting and ducking, but not actually ever throwing a punch.
Everyone wants to avoid the constitutional crisis that is designed to resolve this type of rogue government. We either have a constitution or we don't. We can either enforce it or we can't. Like any tool it gets rusty if it is not properly used and maintained.
” grant amnesty to four million illegal aliens”
Note the four million number, down from the usual five. Actually, it includes the entire illegal immigrant population, but the conservatives will go with the 4-5 million, just like they submit to the ll million for the last 10 years.
The court ruling is worthless. Obama is implementing amnesty inspite of any court ruling.
I think we may have contempt of a federal court’s order. I suggest to Governor Abbott that he file a motion to compell the regime from entering into contracts and liabilities in violation of Judge Hanen’s order and require the DOJ to appear forth with and show cause.
Yes
