David Barton critics beware: Theres now a price to pay if you want to defame the popular historian, author and speaker with false and outlandish charges.
Barton won a $1 million defamation judgment in August against two left-leaning candidates for the Texas State Board of Education. The pair, Rebecca Bell-Metereau and Judy Jennings, charged in a 2010 campaign video that Barton, a consultant to the Board, was known for speaking at white-supremacist rallies.
That highly charged claim stems from two 1991 speeches Barton gave to groups linked to the racist and anti-Semitic Christian Identity movement. Barton, recognized as a strong friend of Israel, acknowledges speaking to the groups but said in court filings he did not know in advance about the racist ideology of his hosts.

I don’t know who this guy was until today and found out about the news. I checked on FR to see if any threads had been posted about this, but could not find anything.
I found out about it from Wild Bill for America.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=355QMirqgpg
He gives a good summary of what happened.
I recall talking about him but don’t recall any direct threads on him. It was the typical smear-jobs that are the trademark of the left.
Barton is now speaking about the muslim history in America and it ain’t pretty.
be careful about wild bill
we exposed his embellishing his navy career
he was a corpsman at 29 palms, but he was NOT a corpsman with Marines, he was base hospital
he made a LOT of claims of being a CORPMAN WITH MARINES, as if he was FMF corpsman, a Totally different job than the guy who sits behind a typewriter
he refused to fess up , but when I called some group he was involved in, told them we had the goods on him, his next video he admitted he was not fmf corpsman but them in the next sentence bragged about shooting .50 cals in the desert
be careful, if he lies about his military past any more, dont say you werent warned
Good to know. Thanks!
That’ll certainly earn him a fatwa or at least several thousand death threats.
Walid Shoebat has joined in and is saying the biggest single contribution muslims made to America was as slavers.
The wikipedia page on him is almost all negative, unsurprisingly. But it seems amidst all his works there was overreach and problems.
aka Barbary Pirates. Thomas Jefferson sent in the Marines to deal with these maggots
“Barton won a $1 million defamation judgment in August against two left-leaning candidates for the Texas State Board of Education.”
“After nearly three years of pre-trial wrangling, including a trip to the Texas Supreme Court, where Bell-Metereau and Jennings failed in their bid to have the suit dismissed, the two settled with Barton just before the case was to go to trial in July 2014.
They agreed to give Barton $1 million . . . .”
It’s not clear to me that there was, in fact, a “judgment.” There was a settlement, which is not the same thing.
Do innocent people settle for $1Mil?
God bless David Barton and Wallbuilders. If he is continually attacked by the apoplectic Left in their bloodlust, he is my kind of guy. I hope he drains them of every nickel the Communists and faggots send them.
Good news that David Barton won his $1,000,000. The liberal progressive atheist left hate him for his ability to show the true religious history of the US and how it has been revised by the left for the last fifty years.
I'm pretty sure he runs or has significant input at "Wallbuilders" and I'm aware of a book he has written regarding the influence of religion in US Governance.
He's all about pushing back against Atheists. I've known about him for almost two decades and I like what he's doing.
.
A “settlement” results in a judgement by stipulation in all but a very few cases.

A rather poor choice of words on your part!
Should have been qualified as your opinion.
.
I’ve read about it here on FR, but it’s been a while.
Good!
