The Border Patrol Continues to Act as if a Federal Judge Hadn’t Just Blocked Obama’s Amnesty

While a federal judge’s injunction has halted the implementation of President Obama’s sweeping executive actions from November, it appears U.S. Customs and Border Protection never got the news. According to CBP Commissioner Gil Kerlikowske, the relaxed border enforcement guidelines that accompanied Obama’s executive actions should continue apace, unaffected by the judge’s ruling.

In an email sent to CBP agents on Wednesday and later obtained by NRO, Kerlikowske conceded that the federal judge’s action meant agents “should not consider” Obama’s new and expanded deferred action guidelines when processing illegal immigrants. But border protection and enforcement are apparently a different matter.

Kerlikowske’s email expressed the belief that the judge’s decision has no impact on the border enforcement and protection directives issued at the same time as Obama’s executive actions by Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, and that those directives remain in force.

Obama threatened INDIVIDUAL BP agents with litigation, and/or termination. The GOP doesn’t give a crap!

Headline is wrong. U.S. Customs and Border Protection is not the Border Patrol. Different uniforms and different missions.

There are political agendas working in opposition on the amnesty issue. Big business wants them, the DemoRats need them to vote their way from here on out and kill the white vote completely. Obama’s goal is to destroy the GOP and create a one party (communist) system while the opposing team knows what this is REALLY going to cost us in the long run completely killing our sovereignty. And then you have politicians with families on both sides of the border. Its a muddled mess....

The Democrats ram through laws they want, shop for judges or, as here, simply ignore those laws they don’t like.
If the GOP can just recapture the White House, then they might possibly be persuaded to fight for America .....

Just because there is a piece of paper, does not change the mission or the agenda one bit.

Most apprehensions by the Border Patrol are at entry so DACA for the most part does not apply.

That is why it is BS when people say the immigration system is broken. Selective enforcement of laws leads to chaos.

Border Patrol (border) is controlled by parent agency Customs and Border Protection, which in turn is controlled by the Department of Homeland Security...and we know who controls that - 2 guesses but you'll only need 1. I believe Immigration and Customs Enforcement (interior) is directly controlled by DHS. But everyone was hysterical after 9/11 and said we needed more Fedgov control.

If you look at their websites, much of their "missions" are redundant and while all now incorporated under DHS, they are still redundant, which DHS was suppose to reduce. Another mistake W. Bush made. Much of it could have just been included in the DOD's mission of defense.

Bottom line: All 3 agencies are subject to directives by DHS and ultimately the White House. Any questions whose in charge?
