Contrary to Obama's speech this week, ISIS is ABSOLUTELY a Shia Islamic organization following extreme fundamental views of the Koran. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been its leader since May 2010. His followers consider him a Muslim caliphate, the first one since the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century. ISIS wants to fully enforce Islamic law, which requires stonings and slavery and amputations.

It’s Sunni. The Iranians are Shia I believe. They both seem to have some sort of apocalyptic vision...I don’t know how they differ and how that could play into all of this though.
