Republicans in Congress would shoulder the blame for a shutdown at the Department of Homeland Security if they are unable to enact a new spending bill to keep the agency running, according to a new CNN/ORC poll. The survey finds that 53% of Americans would blame the Republicans in Congress if the department must shut down, while 30% would blame President Barack Obama. Another 13% say both deserve the blame.
If a spending bill is not passed by Feb. 28, the agency's funding will run out. ...

Will the GOP stick to its principles and promises?
What would Rush Limbaugh say needs to be done in this case?
The DHS will not enforce our immigration laws so who needs them? Shut them down and I’ll be happy to CREDIT the GOP with shutting down a worthless agency!
Will the GOP stick to its principles?
What do ALL of the current GOP presidential candidates have to say about this?
Yawn. Get a new schtick, MSM.
says the media outlet that plans to be the center for blaming the GOP for a DHS shutdown.
Less than 10% of the sheeple are even aware of this issue...polling is useless.
But CNN knows what its doing. “Pardon me sir, if catastrophe ______ happens, will you blame the Republicans?”.
Problem is, this poll is making quick rounds right now all over the net and cable news.
In the end, the GOP will either stick to its anti-Obama pledge (the reason why people voted them strong control of Congress) or they won’t.
We shut them down in 13 and won in a landslide. Alway remember these people believe in global warming with evidence to the contrary.
Not conservatives. Not the leftwing dead enders, they believe this anyway.
Is the great middle really this mush-headed?
How do you know that it is just 10%?
Are you aware of some sampling that others aren’t aware of that less than 1)5 are aware of this?
I would like to see where you got the info for this les than 10% number.
It would be rather interesting to see this info...
And how certain are you it would stay at “10%”?
“Running on an anti-Obama agenda x...x is why the GOP was given an increased majority in the House of Representatives and control of the U.S. Senate.”
fixed it for you
“Will the GOP stick to its principles and promises?”
LOL, rhetorical question right?
“What would Rush Limbaugh say needs to be done in this case?”
Don’t buckle or don’t shutdown but don’t do both.
Same trick the media used during Cruz's 'shutdown'.
All the Republicans have to do is AR-TIC-U-LATE a clear, common sense (to borrow a phrase from the Lunatic Left) argument for their position.
If they can’t so that, then they should all commit seppuku in disgrace, because they are useless failures.
I mean really. How hard is it?
Boehner is hiding under a rock already.
Email and Tweet McConnell. Press him to use the nuclear option. Let him know, that we know, he can pass this if he wants.
Translation: Unless the GOP majority goes along with the Dem minority, they will be at fault for whatever ills befall.
CNN/ORC? lol
The GOP is blamed for icy roads, soggy hamburger buns, toads, and burnt out street lights. I think the GOP can stand this lie.
To the American people we have 92Million folks unemployed, folks who are applying for immigration legally are paying thousands of dollars- but yet, Obama wants 5 million to cut in line. Then, they get to claim EIC credits going back 3 years and will reap 10-20K per person, that is your money that the workers of America are paying for.
I’ve always said, Republicans have a message issue- Democrats have it perfected.
