Here in western Pa. I could not start my car today! Currently at 1 degree with a real feel of -17...By midnight will be at -10 degrees so real feel will drop as well.

Two weeks ago I was working in Presque Isle, Maine. On one of those days the temperature hit minus 26 without adding in the wind. The next day it went up to a high of 15. Felt like spring had arrived.

I’m skeptical of any forecast coming out of the NWS.
They were predicting a major wind event in the Philadelphia area from winter storm Neptune this past weekend, with sustained winds around 40 mph and gusts 50-60.
It didn’t happen.
It was windy, but only a few gusts topped 30 mph.
But the commercial weather sites love those forecasts.
For them, panic = webhits, and ad money.
