Russia/Rebels are just manuvering before the treaty goes into effect—its a last minute land grab. The treaty will hold—why? Because its in Putin’s interests that it holds. What he wants will happen! There will be no pull back and in time the desputed territory will become part of the Russian Federation-—just as the chunks of Georgia have. Yes, the borders can be changed by war—always has, always will. Is the USA going to give back the land we took from Mexico? Will we give Hawaii back to the Royal Family of Hawaii? I don’t think so! How about giving Guam back to Spain? Will Germany give back her land to the East Germans? History goes to the strongest and the most bold—now that hat goes to Putin.
Russia has no interest in peace. Mad Vlad Putin wants blood.
