I am in. Cannot see the usefullness of putting money in the effort to elect Ted Cruz until he is committed to running. He knows what he is doing so I am not pushing for an untimely decision.

The Des Moines Register and Bloomberg are both VERY far left news organizations. I lived in Central Iowa from 1974 to 2002, save for the time I was in The Army.

Cruz is a bit more competent from what I’ve seen.

I’d vote for Walker, but he is currently 3rd on my list behind Cruz and Jindal (who is a long shot).

I’ll take a governor over a senator any day!

Which leaves the Tea Party lane, which is both relatively large and entirely Cruz's.

I believe that Ted Cruz has a large support segment among social conservatives. I would also not count him out among reasonable libertarians.

Huckabee and Santorum are yester-year's news... tried and failed. Cruz is dynamic and interesting.

Walker was a supporter of Common Core at first. Then changed his mind and called for repeal. He has since moderated that and is leaning more towards an “opt out” type of situation.

http://www.politifact.com/wisconsin/statements/2015/jan/16/scott-walker/scott-walkers-shifting-position-common-core-educat/

As far as Obamacare goes he has made few statements against it but the few he has made call for more of a repeal or replace type of situation.

Walker will focus on an issue mainly from the fiscal point of view. I’ve never heard him mention the unconstitutionality of the bill or death panels etc. He’ll speak about why he wouldn’t set up state exchanges in WI because he didn’t want the state to end up funding it. Instead of doing state exchanges here he expanded Medicade so that the poor can get coverage and others sent to the federal exchanges.

He believes there is no difference between the state and federal exchanges which caused a bit of a brouhaha from those that believed his statements threatened the case before the SC.

If you do a search on the internet using “Scott Walker Obamacare” you’ll run across a bunch of articles about it.

Cruz is the tea party favorite but as others have pointed out he is quite popular with most social conservatives and if Huckabee/Santorum fall out then he will get their votes. His limited government and Federalism are very appealing to the libertarian Republicans and young independents. A lot of Ron Paul voters could like Ted Cruz. And the dirty secret that the GOP-E and the media don’t want anyone to know is that if Cruz got the nomination most of the establishment GOP voters would vote for him as well. 90% of GOP-E voters (and there are lots of them will vote anyone with an (R) especially if the Rats run a real liberal. A lot of Wall Street and Chamber of commerce money may not go to Cruz rather than a RINO but that is separate issue from actual voters.

We can hope.

Along with Lt Col West as Secretary of Defense, and Dr. Carson as Surgeon General, and Amb. Bolton as Secretary of State.

I wish that you must be born in the states period. None of this parents born in America nonsense. The reason is because someday we are going to literally have a candidate (most likely democrat) who was born in Syria but the parents were born in America. I see that down the road due to our loose Presidential requirements.

Scott Walker to tea partiers: Let’s focus on taking out Democrats, not our fellow Republicans

What is wrong with that statement? Goodness no wonder we lose the Presidential when the Republicans yell and scream at each other for months and let the Democrats get a free ride.
