SWAT teams have finally replaced the police officer. And innocent people die as a result.

On the whole it seems that daily life with respect to law enforcement has been relegated to SWAT response for a plethora of things. All manner of infractions have been settled using them. Some just and some unjust and overdone according to some accounts and opinions.

One could only imagine if these warriors of immediate and overwhelming response could have been at all a counter these gun-violence massacres Gun haters keep harping about.

Perhaps the very smart, smarter, smartest thing would be is to ban guns altogether and just be done with it. That way, when LE needs to serve a warrant at 4AM, they would only have to confront a family dog they could shoot or just waste an unreasonable homeowner with a Louisville Slugger. And, above all, go home safely at night.
