On gay marriage, it is all over but the shouting. But there will be some shouting.

Nothing proved that more this week than when same-sex marriage arrived in Alabama, which ultimately led to an epic and at times rambling 20-minute-plus conversation Thursday between Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore and CNN's Chris Cuomo. It was repetitive, in the weeds, and in some ways futile, foreshadowing the type of framing at least some prominent conservatives will maintain as they keep up the fight against same-sex marriage.

Moore dubbed the whole thing a "federal intrusion in state sovereignty."

"No judge of the United States or federal district court has the right to invent the definition of marriage, which is not even contained in the United States Constitution," he said. "And that's the problem; we have people going in trying to mandate to the state of Alabama that the sanctity of marriage amendment in our constitution is wrong, and that's simply not right to do."

I LOVE how the left think the PEOPLE should decide, well except when they “Don’t decide correctly”....

You know like all those states that passed STATE CONSITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS to BAN GHEY MARRIAGE.....

Cuomo said that man’s rights come from “people” ... So how about it California....?????

After watching the entire video, Judge Moore utterly eviscerated the sniveling leftist lamestreamer, Chris Cuomo. Roy Moore is a fearless, good Christian Patriot who has a deep understanding of the law and realizes that America was built on a Biblical foundation. The stumbling, bumbling and fumbling of Cuomo when questioned about Dred Scott shows that DemonRATs operate in a world where there is no logic or intelligence. Go Judge Moore go! Take America back! Crush sodomy in all forms!

The day is coming quickly where these un-elected judges and their enablers will get what they deserve. They will push too far. Right now the Supreme Court is set up once again to spark a Civil War like it did with the Dred Scott decision.

Even when there were God-fearing justices who made honest interpretions of the Constitution in deciding a case, if the states didn’t like how the Supremes decided a case then state lawmakers knew that they could “overturn” a case decision by appropriately amending the Constitution.

In fact, the 11th, 16th, 19th, and other amendments are examples of the states doing so.

But with all due respect to mom & pop, as a consequence of parents not making sure that their children are being taught the differences between legislative, executive and judicial powers, even state lawmakers evidently regard justices as priests whose interpretation of the Constitution is infallible no matter how twisted such interpretations actually are.

Right now the Supreme Court is set up once again to spark a Civil War like it did with the Dred Scott decision.

This time around, the outcome of the WBTS will be far, far different. In the 1860s, the South was essentially an isolated and rather poor region without much in the way of industry. The economy was largely based on one product, cotton.

Fast forward to the 21st Century and the South leads the way in terms of the core principles of Godliness, life, freedom and liberty. The South is a juggernaut economically with the nation's manufacturing base backed by the finest military educations. The people are better educated with Christian-based schools such as Harding, Liberty, Bob Jones and Oklahoma Christian -- far surpassing the faux learning at marxist indoctrination centers in the Ivy League. Guns are plentiful in the South as opposed to the disarmed citizens in liberal cesspools. Another factor unlike the 19th Century is that other regions, part of the Patriotic midwest, will join forces with the South to wage war on the communist elites. The South (and its allies) are an unstoppable force that will result in the emergence of a renewed America, built on the Biblical principles that inspired the Constitution. I think Alabama plays a leadership role in the fight since it's now ground zero as liberty is under assault from the communists.

Large multi-national or national corporations do not want to deal with the headaches associated with vastly different marriage laws in different states.

It's just too confusing for them with regard to how to provide benefits, who gets benefits, what happens when certain employees relocate to different states where the laws are different, etc.

Similar economic arguments are made on FR with regard to insurance, i.e. that the feds should force all states to allow all insurance companies to provide insurance.

When the business-wing of the Republican Party and the liberal and left-libertarians agree on something it's hard to see how it can be stopped or reversed.

There are some matters where argument is pointless, because there is no conceivable common ground. People who favor same-sex “marriage” have minds totally alienated from reality, but stuffed with Marxist verbiage. As a result, it is impossible to find any premises on which they and civilized people agree.

The current “culture” does not know what a “man,” a “woman,” or “marriage” are. The vast majority of young Protestants, Catholics, and unchurched people think “gay marriage” is the most obvious issue of “justice,” or “fairness” imaginable.

The argument is all over. The .04% of the population who want to enter into a “gay marriage” will do so. Those people are pretty much irrelevant.

The STATE will, however, use “gay marriage” as a bludgeon against Christianity.
