If we had a few more like Patton in the Pentagon there wouldn’t be this problem with Islamic terrorism.
Horse-hockey.
We need Vlad the Impaler.
Mr. Levin has it right. Need to get tough.
I just watched Patton the other day on Netflix. I had never seen it before. It was clear to me while watching that we need a strong, singular focused military leader who takes zero care in what people think of him, and like Patton, we need someone who knows the mentality of what drives the Mohammedan psyche.
We don’t need another Patton in the Pentagon - that is not where the problem lies. In God’s name, we need an AMERICAN in the White House!
Yeah that too. By saying we need someone more like Patton in the Pentagon...I mean we need more generals interested in winning against the enemy and keep a strong well trained military rather than the political animals in dress uniforms only interested in making connections for their post military enrichment.
I agree, we need an American. I will go one further. We need a WASP!
(chill’un go ax yo daddy)
Remember Patton was relieved for his views on the Russians in the immediate post war period in Europe. He was right of course. That was the start of taking down generals who opposed the president and the state(commie) department and it culminated with the firing of MacAurthur during the Korean war.
I don’t think our problem is the Generals, it’s the queer bastard that orders them to do what he wants.
Since World War II we have fought police wars with Communists and now terrorists for the sake of the elite business community that wanted to keep peace and prosperity going and trade with Communist countries and do business with Muslim countries (Saudi Arabia, Quatar, United Arab Emirates etc. etc. etc.)
I would also toss Shermin into the mix of whom we need.
As far as the Ruskies go, my uncle was stationed in far North Korea in a PBM squadron told me that at the end of WW2 his planes were shot at by the Ruskies over Manchuria. He strongly believed that Patton was right, that was the time to finish off the commies. Of course they could not engage them as their planes had been decommissioned by then.
In my personal opinion...if the Generals aren’t willing to stand up for what is right, to stand up for the soldiers because they’re more worried about their legacy or their next promotion then they are part of the problem. They aren’t senior military leaders at that point...they are yes men.
They have no choice but to do what they are ordered to do.
They can’t all resign. Look at how many Sec of Defense O’bastard has had. Expecting every General to throw away their career in protest isn’t realistic.
Sorry...don’t buy that.
Not every General. One publicly would be nice though. And just because they retire/resign because of the actions of one PResident...does not mean they can’t be brought back to active duty with another CINC.
Its the way it really is.
Our military should used to win wars but since Korea they haven’t.
Where are we with North Korea alone today because that war wan’t won???????
In China at the end of WW 2 a guy named John Birch, an intelligence officer, was killed by Chinese Communists and
the United States didn’t make a fuss.
The John Birch society was formed in the 1950’s believing elites were promoting Communism through government. JBS was a little crazy and over the top, but the elite business leaders were more interested in trading and economics that fighting America’s enemies and they still are....
He also made a comment about Democrats and Republicans being like the Nazis in terms of putting their people in charge of government services and so on, probably prodded by a reporter it is said.
