Rohnert Park man sentenced in brother's 2013 crash death
A Rohnert Park man who crashed his SUV, killing one of two brothers hanging on to the luggage rack, has been sentenced to four years in prison.
Emmanuel Sanchez-Martinez, 27, received the punishment Monday in the July 28, 2013 crash that killed Edgar Sanchez-Martinez, 26, and injured another brother, Jose Sanchez, 29.
The crash happened after Sanchez-Martinez drove off from a family dispute in a Chevy Tahoe, prosecutors said.
His two brothers jumped onto the vehicle’s running boards in an attempt to stop him from leaving.
Sanchez-Martinez continued to drive, reaching speeds up to 71 mph, as they yelled at him to stop.
He finally crashed into a cinder block wall, instantly killing his younger brother. His older brother was thrown 50 feet and suffered minor injuries.
The driver fled and remained at large for more than a year. Police arrested him in August after receiving an anonymous tip on his whereabouts.
Just the kind of Dreamer Obama wants to give amnesty to.

Given the actual facts (vs. the lynch mob facts), he’ll likely not even be ticketed.
Plenty of civil suits, no doubt.
Seems to me the brothers, desperate to get him to stop, actually are responsible for their own deaths.

I'm a little ambivalent about this story. If a stranger jumped on the car, the driver would be justified in continuing to go. If he tried to stop to let them get off and they didn't, then I don't see how this justifies a murder conviction. And whether he tried to let them get off or not, I would think this would be more of a "reckless engagement" type charge than a murder charge.
1. Illegals should be deported.
2. Not murder, simple self defense. The man was leaving a family altercation. Two other family members were so angry they jumped on the running board to try to keep him there. Nonviolent family members would just talk to him later.
As I understand it, you keep your mother’s last name as your middle name. Since the other brother was just Sanchez, perhaps she wasn’t married when she had him. The other thing I know is the name changes every year when they return from Mexico with new ID cards. One year your Sanchez-Martinez, the nest Martinez-Sanchez, sometimes with a hyphen sometimes without, sometimes just Sanchez.
So, it’s Sanchez then? :) jJst messin’ with ya. All kidding aside, boy, they really have moving between countries and changing identities down to a science don’t they. Unbelievable.
